Building a Network of Support
SHARING RESOURCES FOR VILLAGE SUCCESS
For thousands of years, Alaska Natives have succeeded because of their ancestral values that teach widespread sharing and cooperation among individuals and communities. It is this communal approach that today's Native peoples continue to draw upon to deal with contemporary challenges facing their economic success. This is the foundation of the Alaska Native Village CEO Association (ANVCA), a new non-profit organization that will represent the interests of more than 200 Alaska Native village corporations statewide.
The Alaska Native Village CEO Association (ANVCA) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide services that will improve the efficiency, profitability and stability of its member village corporations, and to build a network of mutual support and technical assistance that will help Alaska Native village corporations and their shareholders succeed. ANVCA membership, comprised of representatives from all village corporations, works cooperatively to contribute to the future health of these groups by sharing knowledge and resources, and by collaborating on issues they have in common.
