Three levels of membership offer village corporations flexible features and benefits that are cost effective and designed to meet the specific growth and development needs of each village corporation, regardless of size or financial resources.
Joining ANVCA is a simple process that requires completing an application and designating the CEO or president as the point of contact and representative.
Once a village corporation becomes a member of ANVCA, annual renewal notices are automatically generated. Membership in ANVCA unites every village corporation on one front so that together they can improve the effectiveness of all Alaska village corporations and help Alaska’s first people sustain their home communities, cultures and the lifestyles they represent.
Level 3 Membership Features & Benefits
Quarterly Newsletter - The Village Corporation Network, the official newsletter of ANVCA, keeps members in contact with the ANVCA Board of Directors and introduces other village corporations to the membership. Quarterly features include a calendar of upcoming events, legislative briefings, spotlights on member village corporations and updates on ANVCA.
Conference Discounts - ANVCA's annual conference is a two-day educational networking forum where members share ideas and information with peers, contribute to the development of ANVCA, and gain training and technical assistance. Roundtables and guest speakers address critical topics such as land management, leadership, sales and marketing, board roles and responsibilities, and financial management. Level 3 members receive a 25 percent discount on all conference registrations.
Webinars - A key benefit of ANVCA membership is access to user-friendly resources that are developed to specifically address member concerns about how to best advance their village corporation. Quarterly Webinars-virtual seminars that are broadcast on the internet- present topics of interest to the membership ranging from management and operations, 8(a) contracting, and financial investments, to developing non-revenue programs and shareho9lder relations. (These forums are also available via teleconference.) Members receive their event notices and information on registration and discounts.
Articles & Tools Downloads - Informational articles, worksheets, e-books and links to other newsletters are devce3loped to specifically address areas of interest to village corporation CEO's, board members and staff. Topics include board training, business development, sales & marketing, strategic planning, contract management and setting goals and objectives. Resources are made available through the membership site and are added to as resources are moved to the archives.
Webinar Trainings and Discounts - Included in the Level 2 Membership is registration for quarterly webinar trainings. Additional registrations will be available to Level 2 Members for a 25%percent discount. The calendar of events includes dates and topics for webinars offered throughout the year.
Free Conference Admission (1) & Discounts - level 2 members receive admission for one attendee and a 25 percent discount on all other conference registrations.
On-Line Expert Advice - Through the membership web site (www.anvca.biz) interactive forums bring together peers and organizational experts who can answer questions and provide insight into the issues and challenges facing village corporations.
